We at Seven Cities Midwifery Care are Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, authorized to specialize our midwifery care for home birth families. While we focus our practice within the Seven Cities of Hampton Roads; Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, and Hampton, we provide care all over southeastern Virginia.
Giving birth is a very sacred and intimate journey for families and we are honored to provide respectful and individualized care We trust your individual process, providing experienced guidance and gentle support, empowering you to birth your baby in the safety and sanctity of your home. We wholly support The Midwives Model of Care.

Women choose home birth for many different reasons. Each reason is valid and personal.
Over the years, women have expressed their feelings around pregnancy and birth within the medical system and what they see on social media to us. Most of those feelings are rooted in fear, disappointment, lack of support, distrust, powerless and “being a number”.
