Why Pelvic Floor Health Matters:

As advocates for comprehensive women's health, we understand the significance of pelvic floor health at every stage of a woman's life. From pregnancy to postpartum and beyond, the pelvic floor plays a crucial role in overall well-being.

Pelvic floor therapy can treat and provide relief from a multitude of female centered health issues. Some of these are:

  • treating pain, weakness and tightness in the back, abdominal core, and pelvic floor muscles,

  • improve body mechanics,

  • heal from injuries and/or dysfunction caused by the birth process,

  • heal from past trauma,

  • treating urinary stress incontinence, prolapse, cystocele/rectocele, bowel dysfunction, diastasis recti,

  • recovery from caesarean surgery,

  • support a woman’s fertility journey, and so much more.

That's why we are excited to have Liz on board to focus specifically on this vital aspect of women's health. This will allow all of our SCMC clients to continue their postpartum healing journey on the right path for overall well being.

What to Expect:

Liz will be working collaboratively with our midwifery team to provide specialized care addressing pelvic floor concerns. Each client birthing in April 2024 and beyond will be scheduled a 6 week postpartum evaluation with Liz as part of their global midwifery fee.

Whether you're currently pregnant, planning to conceive, or navigating the postpartum phase, Liz is here to help optimize pelvic floor function, promote core strength, and address any related issues. Her services at SCMC are open for a “fee for service” schedule for any current pregnant or postpartum patients beginning in mid-February 2024.

How to Connect:

If you have questions or are eager to schedule a session with Liz, our friendly team is here to assist. Feel free to contact the SCMC midwives by emailing midwives@sevencitiesmidwifery.com.

We believe that the addition of Liz to our team marks an exciting chapter in our commitment to offering comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. Thank you for entrusting us with your health, and we look forward to continuing this journey of well-being together.
